05 / THE KEEPER’S JOURNAL
A GOOD ADVENTURE STARTS WITH A LITTLE KNOW-HOWCOMPANION CARE · 01
Pick up an egg and place it near warmth. Your next companion starts with a little patience and a cozy spot.
Eggs are physical items. Carry one in your pack, set it near a warm source to hatch, then manage your companion at the notebook back home.
LIFE IN THE WILDS · 02
Gather herbs, plant a garden, and cook what you catch. A well-stocked pack goes a long way.
A hoe or shovel can clear suitable grass for planting. Pick a spot away from paths and obstacles, till it, then plant your crops. Each plot has its own growing cycle.
BATTLE SMARTER · 03
Learn a creature’s type when the fight begins. Bring the right companion to turn the tide.
A water companion deals extra damage against fire types. Discoveries stay in your Field Guide even if you leave a fight unfinished. Watch your footing: fighting in water raises your chance of missing.
